This research aims to develop a new spatially explicit methodology for representing the transport sector in the global integrated assessment model, and to build a cross-disciplinary research framework based on the multiple research areas of transport, energy, and climate change mitigation.

今年度の研究概要

The research will focus on developing a spatially explicit dataset of historical transport demand by constructing a gridded representation of transport activity inferred through inversion. The inferred gridded data will serve as the empirical basis for building a new-generation transport model capable of simulating future transport demand at fine resolution under various scenarios. In parallel, an energy system model will be developed and subsequently coupled with the transport model, enabling integrated scenario analyses of transport-energy interactions and supporting the assessment of low-carbon transition pathways.
