ひとこと
I am delighted that my research, “Tracing the Fate of Lithium, Nickel, and Cobalt Using the MaTrace Model,” received the Best Poster Prize at the ISIE-SEM Conference. Lithium, Cobalt, and Nickel are important for electrification, but real-world metal cycles remain open-loop. Domestic security supply depends not only on recycling efficiencies, but also on collection, exports, product lifetime and reallocation of secondary materials This study aims to quantifying how Japanese applications retain, export or dissipate Li, Co, and Ni under circular economy and export-regulation scenarios. The findings are intended to provide a scientific basis for reducing dependence on primary resources, improving critical-mineral circularity, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon society. This research was conducted in collaboration with Kenichi Nakajima, Jacob Fry, and Guochang Xu from our institute. I sincerely appreciate their valuable contributions to this work. In particular, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Kenichi Nakajima for his expertise, insightful guidance, and continued support throughout the research.
