Subtheme Name

Development of inclusive wellbeing indices and geographic expansion

Research Summary

・Predicting inclusive wellbeing indices that quantitatively reflect the improvement of inclusive wellbeing, which are associated with the accumulation of natural capital (including new national wealth for nationwide, and regional wealth for each local unit). Items used for prediction include social indices, such as economic indices (e.g. income) and land use.

・Incorporating economic modeling that has already been used to predict climate change and predict the value of natural capital and ecosystem services, so as to develop a prediction that can be applied to global, Asian and regional levels.Proposing strategies that strengthen the social structure for each scenario in order to avoid an irreversible ecosystem regime shift.
