Molecular Pathology Section
Outline of Research
The Molecular Pathology Section provides scientific knowledge that contributes to health risk assessments by evaluating the effects of environmental factors such as chemical contaminants on the onset and progression of diseases and their molecular mechanisms.
We will evaluate the effects of environmental factors (chemicals derived from consumer products, air pollutants, etc.) on health and aging of the present and future generations, and elucidate the molecular mechanisms of these effects. We will analyze not only target organ toxicity but also interactions of biological systems (immune system, metabolic/endocrine system, brain and nervous system, etc.).
