KOIDE Dai｜National Institute for Environmental Studies

Brief Description of Research: I study the effects of climate change on terrestrial plants, analyzing changes in distribution, species composition, and tree-ring growth from the past to the present and into the future. I also study ecosystem services provided by terrestrial plant communities, such as edible wild plants, medicinal herbs, and the timing and brightness of autumn foliage coloration.

Career: Completed the doctoral course at Yokohama National University in March 2012. Then worked as a contract researcher at Yokohama National University, Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute, and National Institute for Environmental Studies. From April 2019, worked as a researcher at the National Institute for Environmental Studies.
