- Brief Description of Research
- Jacob's research work has involved constructing large-scale global economic-environmental models. These models are used to trace environmental impacts along complex global supply chains, and investigate the link between environmental impacts, consumption and trade. Jacob’s research interests include waste and the circular economy, the carbon footprints of cities, freight transport and sustainable healthcare.
- Career
- Jacob completed his Doctorate in supply chain analysis from the University of Sydney, and Bachelor of Science (Applied Physics) from the University of Technology, Sydney. Jacob is also an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the Monash Sustainable Development Institute in Melbourne, Australia.
Jacob has also worked in industry, working in built-environment energy efficiency as an applied scientist. He has also applied innovation and rapid-prototyping techniques to help companies solve sustainability challenges. Jacob also contributes to open-source research tools and open-science datasets.
