Career
Dr. Guochang Xu received his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Kyoto University and M.Sc. in Industrial Ecology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He previously conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Environment, Tsinghua University.

He currently serves as an Executive Council Member of the International Association of Natural Resources (iAONR), a Committee Member of the Circular Economy Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, an Associate Editor of Energy Strategy Reviews (IF 12.1), an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports and Scientific Reviews, a Young Editorial Board Member of Circular Economy (IF 10.9) and The Innovation Geoscience, and a Guest Editor for Resources, Conservation and Recycling and Resources, Conservation & Recycling Advances.

He has led several competitive research projects, including one National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) Internal Competitive Research Proposal B project, one NIES Young Researcher Fund project, and one China Postdoctoral Science Foundation project. In 2026, he received the iAONR Young Scholar Paper Award (First Prize).
