Baikalodendron Swarczewsky, 1928 (ref. ID; 2013)

Class Kinetofragminophora: Subclass Suctoria: Order Suctorida: Suborder Endogenina (ref. ID; 2013)

[ref. ID; 2013]
Irregularly shaped body forms encrusting growth on surface of gammarid crustaceans. Around the edge of the body there arise finger-like projections which bear clubbed ends. The macronucleus is branched and reproduction is by endogenous budding. Originally described by Swarczewsky (1928) from material collected from Lake Baikal. Most easily confused with Baikalophrya and Stylophrya.
