The winners of the 2020 Science and Technology Award, which is sponsored by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), were announced at MEXT on April 7, 2020. Tatsuya Yokota and Tsuneo Matsunaga received the "Science and Technology Award" along with JAXA's Masakatsu Nakajima and Akihiko Kuze.
