- Brief Description of Research
- Since we humans are exposed to various kinds of environmental chemicals, their safety have been concerned. Health risk assessment on various chemicals have been proceeded, however, shortage of information on neurotoxicity of chemicals is remarkable, thus their impact have hardly been elucidated. I am working on development of new methods and arrangement of test batteries for evaluating neurotoxicity and application of them to various chemicals to provide neurotoxicity data of various environmental chemicals. My special interest is on development and application of new behavioral methods and test batteries for evaluating neurotoxicity of environmental chemicals and providing neurotoxicity data using those methods. I am also interested in good effects of environmental chemicals on mental function, and working on neuropharmacological effects of aromatic and/or odor chemicals.
