According to anaylsis of the dimensions of the rotifer Collotheca balatonica Varga found on several localities in Central Europe (Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Roumania) is became evident that two forms of this species are existing: Collotheca balatonica balatonica Varga showing a total length of 160-230 µm and carrying at maximum 1 amictic egg, and Collotheca balatonica rodewaldi n. f. showing a total length of 280-400 µm and carrying 1-2 amictic eggs. In Tab.1 the dimensions and on Figs.1-9 the shape of C. balatonica rodewaldi from the artificial reservoir Klicava (C.Bohemia) were given.
