In the genus Notommata, without lorica, the morpholgy of the trophi, rough part of the mastax, is not enough for the species identification. Besides the morphology of the retrocerebral organ, the existence of a cloacal bladder or of a ventral bladder, distinct of the cloaca, is also primordial. This character, underlined by de Beauchamp but generally neglected, must be taken into account.
