Descriptions

Test gray, yellowish, or brown; large nucleus vesicular; pseudopodia numerous, radiating, short, pointed or palmate; in vegetation. (ref. ID; 1618)

Shell gray, yellow, or brown in color, usually smooth and clear. Inferior lip dipping far into the interior of the shell, rounded. The lips overlap to such an extent that the aperture is very difficult to observe. One nucleus. Habitat mosses. (ref. ID; 1923)

Descriptions

Shell hemispheric, ventral side covered with flat xenosomes, smooth, dorsal side covered with rough xenosomes. Anterior lip of the shell with a sharp, irregular margin, overhanging; posterior lip projects inside the shell as an elongation of the ventral side, therefore difficult to recognize. Scanning electron micrographs show that platelets of other testate amoebae (Trinema spp., Corthion spp., Euglypha spp.?) are incorporated on the anteriorly lip and the ventral side. Nucleus with several nucleoli. Separation between P. declivis and P. minuta mainly by means of the size. (ref. ID; 4755)

Descriptions

Brown in color. Smaller than P. callida. Inferior lip slightly dipping into the interior of the shell, triangular. Pseudopods unknown. (ref. ID; 1923)
