Descriptions

Cytoplasm bluish; contractile vacuole near aperture; filopodia arise from a peduncle, attenuate, branching, anastomosing; often numerous individuals are grouped; multiplication by fission and also by swarmers; among vegetation in fresh water. (ref. ID; 1618)

Shell rigid, with a short neck. Pseudopodia long, anastomosing, arising from a peduncle at the aperture. This peduncle is precisely limited by the internal lamella. Sometimes colonies are formed. Habitat standing water. (ref. ID; 1923)
