Test ovoid with sand-grains, not compressed; aperture terminal, circular, surrounded by a four-lobed annular collar; cytoplasm grayish, with zoochlorellae; nucleus large; one to many contractile vacuoles; pseudopodia numerous, digitate; fresh water. (ref. ID; 1618)

Descriptions

In the ooze or on vegetation in ponds and ditches. (ref. ID; 1618)

Shell ovoid; aperture small, irregularly serrated, surrounded by a 3- or 4-lobed neck with undulating margin. Protoplasm containing green symbiotic chlorellae. Nucleus with a large central nucleole. Pseudopods numerous. Habitat ooze of ponds and lakes, and aquatic vegetation. (ref. ID; 1923)
