Diagnosis

Colonial Conochilidae. Corona aligned perpendicular to body axis. Corona circular, without ventral gap, mouth ventrally and antennae dorsally outside coronal field. Resting eggs ornamented with spirals. Trophi of Conochilidae type. (ref. ID; 3591)

Etymology

The genus name is formed by adding the suffixopsis (G. opsis, appearance) to the name of the genus' sister taxon, Conochilus. The gender of the name is masculine. (ref. ID; 3591)
