Setae all of one form, single-pointed or sometimes more or less distinctly bifurcate. Four bundles of two setae each per segment. Usually reddish or brownish worms. Up to 8 cm long. In mud or debris of pools, ponds and lakes. One pair of male gonopores on X. Prostomium present or absent. 55 to 100 mm long. Setae single-pointed or bifid. Rare species. (ref. ID; 1663)
