The species described below conform to the generic definition given by Nielsen and Christensen (1959) for Fridericia. As pointed out by Brinkhurst and Jamieson (1971), Distichopus is the prior name until application is made to the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature to place it on the official list of rejected names. To our knowledge this remains to be done. (ref. ID; 5971)
