Envelope distinct, polygonal; surface with uniform alveoli with interalveolar portion extending out; envelope appears to be continuous, but in reality formed by a series of cup-like bodies; contractile vacuole large; voluminous nucleus eccentric; filopodia straight, some bifurcated, arising between "cups".
