Reniform; not flattened; with a distinct furrow, but without cytopharynx; a stigma at base of flagella; 1-2 chromatophores, brownish yellow; pyrenoid central; 2 contractile vacuoles; fission seems to take place during the resting stage; fresh water. (ref. ID; 1618)
