Descriptions

The oblong cell is remarkably flattened to make a convex dorsal and a flat ventral face, of which the latter has a longitudinal groove. The swimming flagellum is generally straight and about twice as long as cell. The reservoir is comparatively small. Several discal paramylons are scattered in the cell. (ref. ID; 3497)
