Descriptions

The oblong form without chromatophores is somewhat compressed dorso-ventrally and composed of a larger epicone and a smaller conical hypocone, which are divided by a sulcus developing on the ventral side. In that side a part of the epicone hangs to make a plasmic lobe, and a backward longitudinal and transversal flagella arise at the base of the lobe. (ref. ID; 3494)
