Descriptions

The ovate body flattened dorso-ventrally and carrying two equal flagella, has a single furrow on the ventral side, an apparent vacuole in the anterior portion and many discoidal brown chromatophores which are characteristic to this species. The fresh water form has rather small greenish chromatophores. (ref. ID; 3497)

Measurements

Length 15-20 um; breadth 9-10 um. The fresh water form is more or less large, being 20-25 um in length and 10-14 um in breadth. (ref. ID; 3497)
