Descriptions

The body is fusiform, and has a swimming flagellum as it and a posterior one fixed to a median line and nearly twice as long as it. A contractile vacuole is not usually observed. (ref. ID; 3497)

It is one of the common species in fresh water, and it was also found in sea water of Hiroshima Bay of a salinity of 33.48 0/00. (ref. ID; 3497)
