Body elongate, contractile and flexible, oval in cross-section with anterior neck-like region. Posterior end rounded bearing two cirrus-like organelles. Oral aperture oval, apically situated, surrounded by forward-projecting long cilia. Somatic cilia uniform and complete in longitudinal rows that do not spiral. Macronucleus rounded, centrally placed. Contractile vacuole terminal. Single record in stagnant crater lake in Italy.
