Body rounded without lorica and without stalk, attached directly to the gills of submerged aquatic invertebrates such as Asellus and Aphrydium. There are about 20 unbranched non-retractile tentacles which arise from the dorsal surface. Macronucleus is elongate with 2 to 3 micronuclei.
Most easily confused with Dendrocometides which has branching tentacles.
