Medium to large (about 150 um long) ovoid to cylindrical ciliate whose anterior is border than posterior. Oral aperture sigmoidal in shape, located in anterior body half lined with membranelles. Somatic ciliation uniform and complete. Trichocysts present. Single contractile vacuole equatorially situated near body wall. Macronucleus ovoid in posterior body half with small adjacent micronucleus. Single species genus; seen to feed upon filamentous algae in a lake in Lahore, India.
