Small ovoid ciliate, slightly flattened dorso-ventrally. Oral aperture apically situated surrounded by a collar-like membrane. The peristomial region occupies the body apex and descends about a third of the body length. The right edge of the peristome is apparently unciliated. Somatic ciliation uniform but sparse with the anterior most group apparently rather thicker than those in the posterior region. Caudal cilium present. Contractile vacuole terminal. Macronucleus centrally located, ovoid to reniform. Single species genus, described from Italy.
