Class Oligohymenophora: Subclass Hymenostomata: Order Hymenostomatida (ref. ID; 2014)

[ref. ID; 2014]
Small (30 um long), dorso-ventrally flattened ciliate. The right edge of the oral aperture is drawn out to form a stiff flap and the aperture is displaced to lie on the right edge. The overall outline of the body is oval with a small, more or less triangular shaped flap about a quarter of the way down the body of the right edge. There is a single visible membranelle in the buccal cavity. The somatic cilia are reduced such that there are 4 dorsal rows of cilia and the ventral surface remains unciliated. Posterior contractile vacuole. Macronucleus ovoid, centrally located.
