Measurements

The dimensions of the lorica are: width of bowl 82, width at rim 100 um (no length measurements taken) (n=1). (ref. ID; 4046)

Petalotricha pacifica Kofoid & Campbell (ref. ID; 3597)

Descriptions

Lorica stout bag-like, 0.84 oral diameter in length; oral margin irregularly serrated; oral shelf length (48 degrees), with four waves; collar 0.2 of the total length in height including a shelf, forming a low funnel (40 degrees); nuchal constriction distinct, 0.94 oral diameter; a single row of elliptical spots appearing at the conjunction of the collar and the oral shelf; bowl shallow cup-shaped, with numerous small circular fenestrae in its anterior region; aboral end broadly rounded; wall composed of a single layer. (ref. ID; 3597)
