Class Oligohymenophora: Subclass Hymenostomata: Order Hymenostomatida (ref. ID; 2014)

[ref. ID; 2014]
Elongate to ovoid ciliate, 20-65 um long. The slit-like oral aperture is situated at the apical end of the cell. The oral ciliature comprises an undulating membrane on the right side and 2 adoral membranelles on the left. There is a basket of fine fibres which leads into the cytoplasm from the region of the oral aperture (cf. Clathrostoma). Somatic ciliation uniform. Contractile vacuole is posterior body half. Macronucleus spherical centrally located with an adjacent micronucleus.
