Class Kinetofragminophora: Subclass Hypostomata: Order Nassulida: Suborder Microthoracina (ref. ID; 2013)

[ref. ID; 2013]
Body outline shape oval, highly compressed laterally, covered with rigid, delicate, slightly keeled armour. Ribs on armour crenulated. Somatic ciliature reduced to 3 semicircular rows of cilia on the ventral surface. Opening to the cytosome via a depression on the posterior ventral edge. The depression opens more to the side than the posterior as in Microthorax. Cytopharynx without trichites. There is a solid tooth-like structure on the anterior edge of the oral depression and the latter is ciliated on its right side. The macronucleus is centrally placed. There are 2 contractile vacuoles which lie just above the oral depression.
