[ref. ID; 2014]
Small (45-75 um long) elongate ciliate that narrows anteriorly to an apical point and posteriorly to a blunt point. The small oral aperture lies in the anterior body third. There is an undulating membrane on the right of the aperture which partly concealed by membranelle M3. Membranelle M1, is bent in the middle and the equally long membranelle M2 is curved in the opposite direction to M1. There is an 'x' body at the anterior end of M2. Membranelle M3 is always fragmented into several parts. Somatic ciliation formed from 22-26 kineties of which four are post-oral. The other ventral kineties join anteriorly in an acutely angled arch. All kineties extend to the terminal pole. The macronucleus is comparatively large and is irregularly ovoid in shape. There is a single micronucleus embedded in the side of the macronucleus. Single species genus found in peat.
