Body shape elongate, conical, narrowing anteriorly, posterior rounded, dorso-ventrally flattened. Body deeply furrowed transversely from which cilia emerge. Anterior half of body has short non-retractile capitate tentacles scattered over it. Macronucleus spherical, centrally located. Single large terminal contractile vacuole.
