Body shape elongated oval with severely transversely truncated anterior end. Body rather flexible and metabolic. Oral aperture apical, without permanent cytopharynx. Body covered in short cilia, including anterior border. Posterior region with bunch of prominent caudal cilia. Many trichocysts arranged in longitudinal rows in anterior body half. Macronucleus spherical in anterior body half. Contractile vacuole in posterior region. Planktonic. Single record, Lake Leman, Switzerland.
