Body shape ovoid with short but pronounced domed anterior snout. Oral aperture apical mounted on snout. There is a single band of cirri-like organelles which encircles the cell where the snout joins the body and these project forward. Body uniformly ciliated behind cirri, with caudal cilium. Macronucleus moniliform. Contractile vacuole laterally located. Single report by Wang (1931) in Shanghai area, China.
