The 12th Tripartite Presidents Meeting among NIES, NIER and CRAES【Finished】

The 12th Tripartite Presidents Meeting (TPM12) among the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES; Japan), the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER; Korea) and the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES; China) will be held in Yeosu City, Korea from November 2 (Monday) to November 5 (Thursday), 2015.

TPM is an annual meeting which has been held since 2004 with the objective of furthering environmental research in Japan, Korea and China through efforts among NIES, NIER and CRAES, the leading environmental research institutions in their respective countries.　 　An International Workshop (IWS) will also be held as part of the TPM12 program on November 4 (Wednesday), 2015. The theme of the IWS at TPM12 is “Asian air pollution”.

  Signing Ceremony for the TPM12 Joint Communiqué (The MVL Hotel）

  (4)Day 4 (Thursday): Study Tour 2, Yeosu City

• Co-hosts: National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES; Japan), <br>Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES; China)

• Venue: The MVL Hotel, Yeosu City
• Date and Time: November 3 (Tuesday), 2015, 9:00～17:00
• Participants: Presidents of NIES, NIER and CRAES and researchers affiliated with the three institutions
• Agenda: Information exchange and discussion on progress and means for tripartite development of joint research activities and collaboration, followed by the signing of a Joint Communiqué (following day)
• Note: The TPM12 Main Meeting is closed to outside participants

Every year at TPM an International Workshop on an annually designated theme is held to facilitate information exchange and further research collaboration among the three countries from the perspective of environmental issues in East Asia. In addition to the three Presidents, researchers and other parties from within and outside the three institutions will come together to present and discuss on the chosen topics.

• Participation fee: Free

• Participants: Up to 100 participants are expected (Presidents and researchers from three institutions, other research and governmental, etc. concerned parties)

• Date and Time: November 4 (Wednesday), 2015, 17:00～17:45
• Participants: Presidents and researchers of NIES, NIER and CRAE, etc.
• Details: Presidents of NIES, NIER and CRAES will sign a Joint Communiqué on matters agreed at the Main Meeting
• Note: The Signing Ceremony for the Joint Communiqué is closed
