Entries for the 3rd NIES Picture Contest, which took as its theme "What will you save 30 years from now?" will be displayed at the NIES Summer Open House, to be held on July 19 (Saturday), 2014. There will also be a prize-giving ceremony for the winning entries. The contest, which is this year being held for the third time, aims to deepen the interest and understanding of the next generation in environmental issues, as they will determine the future of such issues as well as that of environmental research. This year there were a total of 212 entries, from which 11 were chosen to receive prizes at the prize-giving ceremony. |
