Entries for the 2^nd NIES Picture Contest, which took as its theme “Your Life and the Environment” will be displayed at the NIES Summer Open House, to be held on July 20 (Saturday), 2013. There will also be a prize-giving ceremony for the winning entries. The contest, which is this year being held for the second time, aims to deepen the interest and understanding of the next generation in environmental issues, as they will determine the future of such issues as well as that of environmental research. This year there were a total of 198 entries, from which 11 were chosen to receive prizes at the prize-giving ceremony.
