Using the protagol and pyridinated silver carbonate methods we have studied the fibrillar structure in two species of hypotrich ciliates: Histriculus muscorum and Stylonychia mytilus. Besides, we have established relations between the data observed by us and those which have been described previously, using both the optical and electron microscopes.
