Based on collections made in 1988-1990 in waters in the forest zone of Ukraine, including the coniferous forests of the southern Carpathians, three new species of rhizopods are described: Difflugia juzephiniensis sp. n., D. heterodentata sp. n., and D. paranodosa sp. n. The species Difflugia corona Wallich, 1864, is redescribed. The species Protocucurbitella coroniformis Gauthier-Lievre & Thomas, 1960, is synonymized with D. corona, and the genus Protocucurbitella Gauthier-Lievre & Thomas is synonymized with the genus Difflugia Leclerc, 1815.
