Based on study of impregnated materials, descriptions are provided for one new family, two genera, and five species as well as thirteen of the most characteristic species of planktonic ciliates from the Chukchi and Bering Seas. The status of several species in the genera Tontonia Faure-Fremiet, 1914 and Lohmanniella Leegaard, 1915 are clarified.
