Descriptions are presented of eight new ciliate species (Zosterodasys azerbaijanicus sp. n., Z. alizadei sp. n., Z. shumerica sp. n., Z. raikovi sp. n., Z. derouxi sp. n., Z. kurensis sp. n., Z. jankowskii sp. n., and Z. kasymovi sp. n.) found in Azerbaijan. Descriptions are based on live observations and analysis of silver stained preparations.
