Notes

A study of free-living benthic nematodes in Kremenchung Reservoir found 72 species. Twelve were observed for the first time in reservoirs of the USSR and 31 for the first time in Kremenchung Reservoir. Silty sands are the most favorable biotope and pure sands the least favorable. The most eurytopic species are Dorylaimus stagnalis, Tobrilus gracilis, and Mesotheristus setosus, and the most stenobiotic species are Diplogaster vivalis, Aphanolaimus viviparus and Cylindrolaimus communis. Most of the nematode species found in the various bottom materials were nonselective detritivores.
