A new method is suggested for calculating the volumes of protozoan bodies. Infusoria were used as objects for the study. The micrometer eyepiece was supplied with an additional reticle. Therefore, the infusorians under the microscope appeared divided into squares. The body width was measured at constant length intervals. The data were processed by computer and by the Simpson formula.
