Notes

The method of uninterrupted nonproportional-flow cultivation allows stable growth of a culture of Philodina acuticornis odiosa Milne (1916) at a density of 16 to 18 thousand ind./cm3 and daily productivity of 9 thousand ind./cm3, or about 2 g dry matter per liter of culture. This method of rotifer cultivation may be used for scientific and practical purposes (cultivation of live fodder for fish larvae, etc.).
