Notes

Somatic kineties are formed by successive pairs of ciliated kinetosomes. A postciliary ribbon is carried by the posterior kinetosome of each pair. Overlapping of ribbons realizes a microtubular bundle which lies along the right side of each kinety. Two transverse microtubules and one fiber sheet (kinetodesma ?) are also associated with the posterior kinetosome. The anterior one have only transverse microtubules on the left side. Longitudinal and transversal microfibrillar structures (myonemes) lie on the left side of each kinety. On the left side, buccal ciliature is formed by an adoral zone of "paramembranelles". Each organelle is composed by 3 transversal kineties; the posterior one (right kinety) have postciliary ribbons; no transverse microtubules are observed in the vicinity of the anterior one (left kinety). On the right side, paroral ciliature is composed by several longitudinal rows of ciliated kinetosomes. Kinetosomes of the inner row (left row) (P1) bear 2 microtubular ribbons. No microtubular structures are associated with kinetosomes of the outer rows (right rows) (P2 to P4). Paroral ciliature is organized like a "polystichomonade" pattern. Apical "pseudo-cirrus" ultrastructure is similar as paroral ultrastructure.
