Notes

A sample of rotting seaweed from Vancouver Island contained specimens of four species of rhabditids. One is new to science and is described Rhabditis (Pellioditis) littorea n. sp. Morphometrical comparisons were made of some individuals between measurements of the living animal and of the same specimen mounted on a permanent slide. Preliminary notes are given concerning biology and ecology of the species. A list provides information on 11 typical and 2 occasional rhabditid species inhabiting seaweed and their distribution as known so far.
