Notes

From comparison between Cyclidium glaucoma harvested near both Champaigne-Urbana and Death-Valley (U.S.A.) and on other C. g. harvested near Bonn (FRG) three main points are arising: the lower size of the later, the invariable presence of 11 meridians instead of 10, and the special kinetosomal distribution on the penultimate meridian posterior part. It seems that three geographical forms might be recognized among the C. glaucoma having been described up until now. It should be interesting to study some other Ciliates coming from different places in order to recognize either the characteristic displayed by one of the three forms previously described or a new morphology.
