The Rotifers of two planktonic-series during a year out of the Kainji-Lake in the African state Nigeria are identified. They have a similarity to those of the European warm pools (Tumpel, Altwasser). Two new varieties are described: Asplanchna brightwelli var. and Euchlanis myersi cristata.
